Brenden Rawle
Brenden Rawle is part of the EMEA Senior Leadership Team at Equinix and the Senior Director of Business Development for the EMEA region. In this role, he is responsible for the identification, development and growth of Equinix most important ecosystems, including Network/Telecom, Content/Media, AI, Financial Services, Capital Markets, Automotive and Healthcare. His team also works extensively on new market development and has played a major role in the expansion of the Equinix platform into Africa.
Brenden joined Equinix in July 2015 as the Senior Principal Solution Architect for the region, and his strategic insight and digital transformation expertise were quickly recognised. In March 2018, he was promoted to Director of Interconnection, where he led a team dedicated to accelerating Equinix’s digital offerings and services, particularly with Equinix’s most essential ecosystem Providers. During his tenure, he and his team were instrumental in growing some of the most successful services on Platform Equinix.
Prior to joining Equinix, Brenden worked in the telecom and content sector, progressing to Network Architecture with various Service Providers and ISPs. He spent a number of years as a senior consultant for Juniper Networks, working and living across Europe, helping their largest Network Service Provider customers design, evolve, and deploy next-generation platforms.
Alongside his work leading Business Development, Brenden is active and interested in ESG. He is a keen supporter and driver of programs that aim to accelerate Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DIB), and he and a number of his team are playing a leadership role in Sustainability.
Ifeoma Jibunoh
Ifeoma (Ify) is the Chief Marketing Officer of Cassava Technologies and brings a wide breadth of sector experience within the Financial, Technology and FMCG industries. She is skilled in developing and implementing brand, marketing, and corporate communication strategies, delivering high-quality integrated business solutions. Over the years, she has provided direction to organisations and brands in all aspects of traditional and non-traditional marketing and communications to deliver exceptional levels of ROI. She also has a strong track record in developing new business and holding significant P & L responsibilities.
As the CMO of Cassava Technologies, Ify is responsible for building the overall business marketing and communications strategies that lead to increased revenue, awareness and relevance among the business's target audiences. Her role includes unifying the customer experience, brand purpose, innovation, creative communications and marketing technology.
Before joining Cassava Technologies, Ify was the Director of Marketing and Communications for Sub Sahara Africa at Mastercard. She was responsible for developing an integrated marketing and communications strategy that drove Mastercard's business performance, brand salience and reputation. And before that, she worked at Heineken for 17 years in senior marketing roles across multiple markets and regions in Europe and Africa. Over her extensive career, she has successfully built strong iconic brands that engage with consumers and customers and increased profit delivery for respective organisations.
She has won multiple Marketing awards, most notably a Cannes Award for a digital campaign she developed whilst working at Heineken. She has a law degree (LLB) from the University of Bristol and a master's degree in international business (LLM) from Kings College London.
Ify enjoys sports, reading, travelling, and mentoring young girls in her spare time. In addition, she is passionate about capability development, youth empowerment and promoting African Art.
Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh
Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh is a distinguished business leader and strategic visionary, specializing in Africa's digital transformation. With experience living and working in North, East, and West Africa, she has managed IBM’s business across 35 African countries and possesses a robust network throughout the region. Angela currently serves as a non-executive board member of the Bank of Ghana and has significantly contributed to the financial services and technology sectors, globally and within Africa.
Before joining Microsoft as the Digital Transformation Lead for Africa, Angela was the Regional Head/CEO for IBM North, East, and West Africa. She made history as the first woman and the first African to hold this prestigious position, driving business and strategy in 35 African countries, including Nigeria, Morocco, Kenya, and Ghana.
During her decade at IBM, Angela held several key roles such as Marketing Lead for West Africa and Strategy Lead for Central, East, and West Africa. In 2015, she became the Country General Manager for IBM Ghana, becoming the first female country manager in Africa. Additionally, she served globally as the Chief of Staff to the SVP of Global Markets at IBM's headquarters in the United States.
Prior to her tenure at IBM, Angela worked for prominent financial institutions like UBS Investment Bank and ABN AMRO in the UK. She later took leadership roles as Head of Consumer Banking for GT Bank Ghana and Head of Prestige Banking for UBA Bank Ghana. In 2011, Angela transitioned from finance to technology. Angela is also a strong advocate for women empowerment, actively mentoring women in the corporate sector and supporting underprivileged communities in rural Ghana through philanthropic efforts.She serve s on the boards of the Central Bank of Ghana and the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) based in Zurich, Switzerland. Angela is an alumna of the Harvard Business School and a member of the Forbes Technology Council. Recognised for her influence, Angela was named among the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Africa by Forbes Africa in 2023 and listed among the Fifty Most Influential African Female Leaders by the Young Global Leaders Network in 2022. She was also ranked among the top fifty women on the Africa.com Definitive List of Women CEOs in 2021 and received various accolades, including the US African Women Forum’s Global Impact Leadership Award and African Achievers Awards for Excellence in Business.
A philanthropist at heart, Angela has adopted Siti Village in Ghana, providing clean drinking water and solar lighting systems, with future plans to establish a school for the community. Angela is a dedicated mother of two boys, an avid golfer, and a passionate Formula 1 enthusiast. Holger Rothenbusch
Holger re-joined British International Investment in 2012 as Managing Director to build the organisation’s new Debt business.
He leads BII’s programme in infrastructure and climate finance. He has over 25 years’ experience in development finance in emerging markets, including Latin America, Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe, across a broad range of industries.
Prior to his current role, he worked at DEG, the German Development Finance Institution, where he held various senior management positions, rising to Senior Director for Asia and Eastern Europe/Russia. He previously worked as a commercial banker with Deutsche Bank.
Holger holds Masters degrees in Economics from the University of Freiburg in Germany and Wayne State University, USA.
Wale Ayeni
Mr. Ayeni, has over 18 years of global technology experience spanning several roles. At Helios he leads early-growth venture investments in tech companies with an African Nexus. Prior to joining Helios, Mr. Ayeni was at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, where he was head of direct venture capital investments across Africa, the Middle-East and Central Asia. During his time at the organization, he built its venture capital investment practice in Africa and co-headed disruptive technologies and VC investments for emerging and frontier markets globally, managing over $2.5Bn of venture assets.
Prior to joining the IFC, Mr. Ayeni led venture capital investments in Silicon Valley for Orange, the French telecoms company, focused on disruptive sectors including Fintech, Big-Data, Mesh Networks, Blockchain, and Virtual Reality. He started his career as a microprocessor design engineer with Intel Corp. and later Qualcomm, before moving to JP Morgan’s Technology Investment Banking group in San Francisco, where he closed more than $12Bn in executed tech transactions. He has served on the board of directors of several high growth tech companies in Africa and served on advisory committees of several VC funds on the continent.
Mr. Ayeni has an MBA from Dartmouth College, and a Bachelor’s degree with distinguished “Red diploma” from Moscow University in Russia. He is a Kauffman Venture Capital Fellow, a recipient of the top global 100 Rising Stars award in Corporate Venture, and serves on the Dartmouth Tuck EMEA council.
Aniko Szigetvari
Aniko possesses 25 years of emerging market investment experience, spanning venture capital, growth equity, debt, and mezzanine financing, with a primary focus on technology and digital infrastructure investments. She is a co-founder of Atlantica Ventures, an African venture capital fund focused on impact investing in early-stage technology and technology-enabled startups in Africa. Aniko currently serves as an Independent Board Member for NYSE-listed IHS Holding Ltd, a digital infrastructure company operating across Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Prior to launching Atlantica Ventures, she held the position of Global Head of the Tech, Media, and Telecom (TMT) Group at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), overseeing investment and portfolio activities in emerging markets worldwide. Before this global role, she headed the Africa and Latin America TMT Group at IFC.
Earlier in her career, Aniko held positions at McKinsey & Company, Mondelez, and DHL. She holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Wharton School, and an MA in International Studies from the Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania.
Rose Mosero
As the Deputy Data Commissioner for Kenya, she comes with a wealth of experience having started her career in Anderson Law, proceeded to Best hooper law practice, became a regulatory and policy advisor at Sevenseas Technologies Group; a legal and policy advisor at the office of the Cabinet Secretary, before she was seconded to the office of the Data Protection Commissioner where she eventually became the Deputy Data Commissioner.
She has also served as a board member to International Association of Privacy Professionals, and she is an Adjunct Faculty member of the Kenya School of Government.
Abhinav Sinha
Abhinav leads manufacturing and ICT equity investing for British International Investment, and looks at impact investments in Africa and South Asia in areas such as telecoms, technology, pharmaceuticals and light engineering.
He serves a on the Boards of 14 Trees – a joint venture between British International Investment and Lafarge Holcim – and Liquid Telecom.
Prior to this role, he was a Partner at Fidelity Growth Partners, where he was responsible for building the industrial and telecom portfolio.
